Book four of The Invisible Library series begins with Irene narrowly escaping from a house full of vampires, to be ambushed at her hotel by a dragon. Dragon Jin Zhi attempts to talk Irene into getting involved in a dragon competition. As a librarian, Irene and The Library must remain neutral. Jin Zhi informs Irene her competitor has enlisted the help of a librarian and she wants Irene to stop the librarian from helping. Irene reports the information to The Library and is sent along with Kai to find the librarian and hopefully keep The Library out of dragon politics. They track the librarian to a world that resembles !920 prohibition New York City. This was a fun installment in the series. Dragons, gangsters, speakeasies and books, what's not to love.
