SOLVED. fantasy about a man with wings and his adventures

I read this book some time around 2005-2010 when I was a teenager in high school.
I remember the cover of my book was a gold color.
It was a fantasy book about an old man who had wings and all his adventures around town. I remember towards the end of the book he made friends with another woman who had wings.
It is NOT "A Very Old Man with Enormous Wings".

Oh my gosh!! I have been trying to find this book for YEARS and as soon as I made this post I remembered the title. It's called the Book of Flying by Keith Miller. Thanks everyone!
