When the Mountain Meets the Moon is about a girl named minli who lives in a small hut in ancient China. Minli and her family are very poor. She lives with her mother and father. Minli's father always tells her storyies about ancient myths and legends. One day Minli decided to go on a quest to find the man on the moon in which she heard about from one of her father's stories. The man on the moon, is actually a guy who lives on the moon, and every 100 years if you climb to the top of the Jade mountain he will answer one question about anything. Minli wants to ask him him how to bring her family good fortune. If you want to hear the rest you have to read the book yourself. I liked this book because it shows friendship in the book Minli meets a dragon and they become vary good friends when Minli meets the dragon he is tid up in rope and Minli helps him and and when Minli hurt her leg the dragon gave her a ride. Minli and the dragon do things for each other and that shows true friendship.
