I'll finish in two or three days and will be along for the dicussion. I am enjoying the book and think it was a great choice
Sadly I don't think anyone is interested in this one - this is always a danger with moderator picks particularly when the competition includes a Booker longlist.
Hey Hugh. It was a risky choice indeed. But one that i'm glad you chose this book. Or else, I don't know if I would've ever been able to come across it. I have been a bit busy with work and I am reading 3 books currently. I have read 220 pages so far from "The Winter Vault". I should be able to finish it in a couple of days.
Thanks Abeselom - I will look forward to your thoughts too. My comment was intended to bump the discussion into a little more visibility - we are not abandoning it!
I think the lack of discussion may be more related to summer holidays or preoccupation with the Booker longlist, since the novel seemed tailor fit for the group. I was waiting for the discussion to begin before posting, but I will post some comments tomorrow.

Anne Michaels is a Canadian poet and novelist. The Winter Vault is her second and most recent novel, the first (Fugitive Pieces) was widely acclaimed and won many prizes, including the Orange Prize (now the Women's Prize).
