Personality: She is friendly, but often keeps to herself. She is refined and will never be seen joking around. Usually she likes to explore and is very adventurous and brave. Extremely daring and competitive. She'll never back down from a challenge. She values her pride and skills the highest, making her a bit arrogant and serious. If she makes close friends, she is really loyal, but doesn't have a lot of trust so you have to be the right kind of person in order to earn it. Pearl sets high standards for herself, and though she isn't vain, she has a lot of self-confidence and pride.
Powers: She is an air elemental, able to control the air movement and levitate things. (whatever else air elementals can do)
Likes: Despite her seriousness and dignified posture, she likes a lot of things. Competing and showing other people that she is right. Practicing her powers and skills. Being outdoors and levitating.

----Her Life----

Sandra was always wanting and wishing to explore the depths of the ocean but her father never allowed her too because he was too overprotective. Sandra didn't know why her father was always telling her not to, everyone who knew her, knew she was one of the most powerful water elementals. Sure there were sharks down there but she didn't care.

Still, she obeyed her father's orders and stayed out of the depths of the ocean. Instead, she always hung out on the beach gazing over the water, wondering what was down there. She would stare at the waves. When she wasn't gazing at the water, she was reading a book on the beach. She was also one who loved the animals and she hated it when they got hurt in any way, shape, or form.

Then it was time for The Selection for the prince. This was her time to shine. She filled out a form without her father knowing. She put that her age was 18, she was a water elemental, her preferred dresses, and that she didn't have any known health problems. Then she signed her name 𝔖𝔞𝔫𝔡𝔯𝔞 𝔉𝔯𝔬𝔰𝔱𝔤𝔩𝔬𝔴. Sandra really wanted to make a friend so she didn't tell her overprotective father. She hoped that she would be chosen, she so wanted to see the palace. Now she was giddy with excitement, she couldn't wait to find a friend there if she was chosen.

Name : Dwynwen Loomshire
Age: Just turned 17
Appearance: Dwynwen has curly almond hair accented with tendrils of ice colored strands. Her eyes are an intense blue, as detailed and mysterious as the sea. Her face is smooth and angelic, although the scar along her right cheek hinders her beauty. People are often quick to judge Dwynwen because of her scar, assuming that she doesn’t belong in their regal society. She is 17 years of age and is only 5 feet tall. Due to how short she is, the other girls find it easy to pick on Dwynwen and compete against her, especially in such a highly honored event like the selection. Her height also limits her options for dress, giving her another disadvantage in competition. Though Dwynwen may not be the most gorgeous girl out there, those who are willing to see past her looks and find where her inner beauty lies are able to realize what a special person she truly is.
Preferred dresses: Dwynwen often lets her maid and stylists pick out her dresses, but has strong opinions about her clothes that she usually keeps to herself. She finds that she looks best in dresses of blue color to compliment her hair, or deep rose to contrast her eyes. She will never wear emerald green or yellow of any shade. Dwynwen dresses very formally and always wears long dresses. She feels most herself in ball gowns or dresses with a long train. However there is a part of her deep in her heart that wonders what it would be like to wear her old battle clothing just once… she thinks that maybe she would like it better than the dresses… maybe it would help her discover who she truly is and who she wants to become. Her statement piece is a medium-tone purple ivory gown lined with sequins and jewels. It billows out at her waist in a beautiful display of fabric and lace. It makes her feel confident and royal and forget about her past and flaws. Personality: Dwynwen has trouble standing up for herself and can come off as shy to some people, although truly she loves to be social. She is regal and has much experience with high society, although she is playful and has a clever sense of humor. She appears to be gullible and sensitive, and sometimes is that way, however she makes up for it in knowledge and strength in her powers. She is loyal and sincere and she won’t compromise those values for anything. Beyond her simple and proper cover, she has an adventurous spirit. In her heart she would love to fight evil and stand up for her kingdom, but the scars of her past stand in the way of her future. She has a hard past that she likes to ignore. Though she knows her true calling is fighting for what she loves, she tries to maskerade her real feelings with a royal lifestyle in fear of getting hurt again.
Powers: Dwynwen is a water elemental, specializing in ice work. From a very young age she had always been one of the most advanced water elementals, having natural control over her powers and being extremely strong in her abilities. She was employed to fight in battles at the young age of 8, and became a very skilled, yet graceful warrior. When she was 12, an evil took her family. The battle… the scars… the memories… it was just too much to take. She couldn’t bear to face the battlefield again. Since then, she refused to partake in another battle and rarely used her powers other than for the kingdom’s ceremonies or competitions. Her grandmother of high position in the kingdom took her in and taught her to live a proper, regal life. Dwynwen learned to live and love the fancy life, but deep inside she knows that this isn’t where she belongs. She belongs with other magic warriors. However, day by day she is losing more of her old self, and her fear is preventing her from trying to get it back. She keeps all of this secret from others and no one in the kingdom knows about it but her. She knows if anyone finds out about her past or her dreams, she will be denied entry to the selection: something she and her grandmother have been working towards for years. Will she learn to follow her original calling, or will she move on from her old life and accept new life in the kingdom? Will she betray what she’s been waiting for, for so long or will she chase the adventure she’s been craving for much longer?

She is shy but she will stand up for what she thinks is right. She is not a hot head like most people would think a fire elemental is. She is usually quite and likes to let others take the spot light. She might not look like it but she can fight even if she may look small and weak to some people. She might seem shy and a pushover but I wouldn’t test that theory.

Hestia’s powers: She can control fire and make it so she can hold it without getting burned. She likes to practice by holding the flames in her hands. She can also shape the fire so that she can make a fire ball or something. She can also make it so that the fire won’t hurt other people also. The only problem with that is that it only lasts for a few seconds after it is out of her hands

Likes: She likes not being noticed so she doesn’t really like the selection all that much. She also loves reading. Her brother Austin

Dislikes: Being the center of attention and people who think they can just walk on people

The only family member who actually cares about her is her little brother Austin and he was always away working with her father so he wasn’t even there when she left for the selection, she misses him dearly.

Appearance: Marina has long dark brown hair with a thine grey strip through it that she hides by braiding it into a crown around her head; she has smooth pale skin and big dark blue eyes with silver flecks she has a kind smile, and what some might call a curvy frame that she often wishes she didn’t have,she has high cheekbones, and she is 5’5.
Personality: Marina is kind. She hates to see others in pain or suffering when she cannot help them; she is tough and stands her ground when she is trying to get something done. She is very trustworthy; she is very loyal and would do almost anything to protect her family or friends; she is very shy but forces herself to be out going and talkative.
Family/History: Marinas mother, Kathryn Saint’German died of Cancer when Mare was was only 12; soon after Marinas father fell into depression and soon and killed himself, leaving mare to to take care of her three younger siblings , Mable who is now 14, Zack who is 15, and Shank who is 16. Personality: Ella is calm at most points, although if something annoys her, she tends to over-react. She has a very generous nature and puts everyone over herself. She is braggy and has a competitive side, but it never has gotten the better of her. Ella has a sarcastic mind, but her thoughts usually stay hidden. She can take a joke and loves to mess around with friends. She is very smart. Ella usually takes on an act of some sort, you will never really know her true personality unless she trusts you, and, like most of my main OCs, she is not very trusting.

Powers: Basically a guster, but will rarely be seen using her powers.

Likes: Ella likes to sing, but she can't play any instruments. She likes volleyball, soccer, and basketball. Ella loves to read, of course. She enjoys chatting and will talk for hours on end if you don't stop her.

Any health problems: Ella has never had serious health issues besides the fact that her ankle twists easily, but she keeps herself from getting hurt most of the time.

Background: Ella grew up pretty privelged. She always loved to help others and went to many charity events and such things, without a complaint. She had a loving family that always wanted more, but they were happy with her. Her mother was smart and so was her father. They both had excellent jobs and had quite the influential personalities. Ella always had a happy time through her entire life and only had a few bad days. She loved to be athletic and so were her brothers. On that topic, Ella has a mother, father and 2 siblings, both boys. Ella always thought she would be a lawyer, or something like that. On the day the papers came, her family happily sat at the table with her filling them out with smiles all around, although her brothers will, of course, miss her.

Backround:
Alea Sirena grew up with out a mother and with a father who wasted the little money they had getting drunk. Her mother died giving birth to the twins, Matty and Ella. Her father wouldn't even name the twins, because he blamed them for his wife's death. Alea was only 10 when she took over being the head of the family. She cooked and cleaned and got the food they needed. Her father was almost never home, but when he was he was drunk stupid. The first time he hit the twins, Alea shoved him and finally broke. She had been holding in her anger for months and finally snapped. After that he only ever hit her. It was rare that he hit her but when he did it was bad. She had, had multiple broken bones over the years from him. She entered the selection, hoping to make a better life for the twin. They had very little income and they had just recently found their dad dead in a ditch. She had left her brother and sister with her est friends family in order to get here. Even if she didn't win, at least the twins would be taken care of.

Lea smiles slightly. "Well lets start at the beginning." She says in a misterious voise, perfect for storytelling. "It started on a dark night. I was 10 years old and my mother went into labor. it was a long hard labor. Matty came out first and fairly easliy. Then about 3 hours late Ella came. Her birth was hard. She was twisted and wrapped in her birth cord. By the time they finnally got her out my mum had lost a lot of blood." Her voise turns sad and her fingers stop weaving Mare's hair. "My mum died that night. Only a few minutes after Ella came. She died with the twins in her arms. When my father got the news that he had two new babys and his wife had died, he took all the money he could find and left. He came back hours later druck as can be. My bestfirends mom had stayed with us but left when Dad got home. Every night after that he left and came home drunk. He refused to name the twins, blaming them for Mum's death. I ended up naming the twins after my uncle and my mom. Matty and Ella. About a year later my best friend moved away and I had to learn to take care of the twins. I hunted and got a job always bringing them with me. I hid away money i made for food and what we needed. I self taught myself and the twins how to use our powers. My father was never in the house, refusijng to even look at the twins. The first night he came home and hit them i finnall snapped. I yelled and yelled at him. He never hit the twins again but instead he hit me. He dident do it often but when he did it was bad. The only broken bones I had over the years came from him. Finnaly one night we were on our way home and we found him. Dead. In a ditch. After that i entered into the selection, not wanting to marry the prince but to make a better life for the twins." She smiles and finnishes the braid. "My mum always braided my hair and sayed that all my worries were always tucked away in the braid. when the braid is undone all the worryies disapear"

Appearance: Jess has very, very dark brown hair and medium-brown eyes that have gold sparks in the very center. Depending on how her mood is, they appear and change color. If she's super happy, there are lots of tiny gold sparks, like glitter. If she's mad, their a molten gold, solid around her iris. Her hair is many different shades, though, and looks different from different angles. She's 5'7, skinny, and always wears a necklace her best friend gave to her when she was 10. She's tan and doesn't have freckles, which she's pretty indifferent towards. Her hair is slightly wavy, medium-thick, and hangs right to the middle of her back. She prefers wearing it down, but if she's super concentrated she braids it. She doesn't like makeup at all, and wears only the barest hints of it for uber formal events. A touch of lip gloss will do.
Preferred dresses: She prefers knee length dresses or floor-length ball gowns, but very few in between. Her preferred colors are midnight blue, seafoam green, lavender or lilac, yellow, gold, and pale pink. She prefers the more casual side of dresses, but isn't afraid to get dressed up to impress the prince.
Personality: Jess mostly goes with the flow, but she has a tendency to overdramatize things and get mad about petty things. She forgives very easily. A smile and a hug will often do the trick. She isn't afraid of anyone, and stands up to people who treat her or her friends badly. The leader of her group, she takes action when most people sit still and tells the truth when it hurts. She's blunt, but also really empathetic, and really cares about people's feelings. She likes to explore and learn new things. She's book smart, but also knows a bit of street smarts from what her dad taught her. She loves to be outside. Mention her stepbrother, though, and she will go into a rage.
Powers: As a fire elemental, she has a bit of a temper. She can control fire at will, ignite and put out any fires other than insane fires (ex. burning building, forest fire)
Likes: Reading with her dog in the meadow behind her house, wildflowers, the smell of sunshine, her best friend, rainy days, dancing in the rain, and smiling.
Dislikes: Stuck-up people, her stepbrother, cats, lemon juice, the color maroon, itchy dresses, bullies, and any sort of racism.
Any health problems: None.
Background: Jess grew up with her mom, Lacy Pembrooke, and dad, Mardon Pembrooke. She lived a happy childhood on a farm, her parents working in the college a couple of miles away. Meeting her best friend, Millie Navi, at the age of 5, they grew up together, attending the same schools and doing everything together She had a pet bunny, Bruno, who lived until she was eight years old. She always had a special relationship with her dad, so when he died when she was 12, she was crushed. Her mom, a little over a year later, married Walter Hollace, bringing her same-age stepbrother, Adam, into her life. Trying to like him, it went well until what their family refers to as 'The Incident'. She hated him ever since, and constantly tried to burn his things and get revenge for what he did. With his water powers, though, he infuriates her, as she can't do anything other than hand to hand combat, which her father did teach her. She joined the Selection to try to get a new chance at life, and hope to get away from her stepbrother to really anywhere. She just didn't want to leave her mom. She has a fine relationship with her stepdad.
