I can't see your shelves to see if there might be something else going on (and what the books around these are). Possibly (not sure on this) it is sorting the "," (comma) in The Other after the space in The Other Wind.


Elizabeth (Alaska) I entered your titles including otherland in excel and asked to sort. It sorts the same way, so that must be the "proper" sort. In any case, it is following the rules that have been in place technologically for years.

I had ended up shelving a different edition because I finally read it this year. That new shelving obviously had the "bad" sort so it caught my attention."


Ah thanks, I was wondering why it had stopped sorting correctly.
