How to change author to a different author with the same name?

I came across these books today:

Afoot and Afield: Reno/Tahoe: A Comprehensive Hiking Guide

Afoot and Afield: Tahoe-Reno: 201 Spectacular Outings in the Lake Tahoe Region

They should be merged as they are the same book. However, the second book has a Goodreads author associated and the first does not. The author should be this Mike White who has written a bunch of hiking and trail books. Is there a way to get the second of these books to reflect the right Mike White so that the two books can be merged?

Hello Andrew, I need some help with mine. I've followed these instructions for separating the Australian Bill Green from two others so that he has three spaces between his first name and surname, but when I tried to edit his profile I was offered two not three Bill Greens to keep and elected to keep the one that was the author of Small Town Rising because that was the Australian one. But now he is associated with one of the other Bill Greens, who had two spaces. I've tried to fix this but sorry, I think I've messed up, and I *still* can't make my Bill Green separate so that I can do his profile.

#4/#5 Lisa, when adding 3 spaces to his books, you need to do every edition. Then all the books are moved to the correct author.

You can edit the 3 space profile with all the Aussie details now.
