Catamorandi (wwwgoodreadscomprofilerandi) I can take them or leave them. I will tolerate them if I must.

Kate I think Twilight is the only vampire book I've read. And Dracula. They're okay I guess. I think it's kind of weird that there's a sudden craze for vampire books.

icecheeks411 | 14 comments I like some of them...
Vampire Beach is okay... kinda too simple of a plot.
Vampire Kisses was kinda fun to read although VERY juvinille.
Vampire Academy I really enjoy although not so much the 4th one.
Twilight was a nice light read, and it was okay but I don;t care for it all that much.
Vampire Diaries I, for some reason, couldn't really get into.

Jill | 22 comments I've found that I like the different takes some authors have with vampires. Of the ones so far mentioned in this post I've read the Twilight series nad Dracula, I have Vampire diaries on my desk to read but haven't gotten to it yet. In the non YA area I've read a lot more and for the most part enjoyed them in a fun way. Sherrilynn Kenyon, MaryJanice Davidson, and Christine Feehan come to mind as having fun to read series.

Kate I've been watching the Vampire Diaries TV series, and it is pretty good, but I haven't gotten around to the books yet. Has anybody read the books and seen the series? Which is better?

I've never noticed fads in books before. Was there a fad before vampires?
