Hello!!

I am trying to find a pulp horror paperback that I read over thirty years ago.

It would have been published in the early to mid 1980's and the title included the word, "House"

The book is set in a small and declining community in the mid-west.

A mysterious and wealthy woman arrives In town, claiming to have been a former resident and bringing with her a gift for the people of her former hometown.

The gift is the construction of a house, a substantial mansion, in the woods on the edge of town.

The residents of the town then fall victim to a series of inexplicable accidental deaths, suicides, and murders.

Their benefactor is in reality the powerful Priestess of an ancient pagan cult, and the house is a living shrine, feeding on the souls of the townspeople.

That is about all that I can recall of the plot. If anyone can help with the name of this book, i would be very grateful.
