HellBoy library edition volume 2 arrived in the mail today so I am going to read this next ( I already had 1, 3 and 6 that I had grabbed last Black Friday sale, now I can read 2-3 and then I will have to order 4-5 next).

Maybe I'll give it another try. I've always liked Mignolia's art, just didn't get into the story (at the time.) I do like the Library editions as well.

Picked up Fall of the Mutants and Mutant Massacre OHCs this week through Amazon 3rd party. I'd been waiting and waiting and finally decided to go ahead and bite the bullet.

I think BPRD is just as good if not better than Hellboy, because it's a full-length long story instead of small ones ever issue. The plague of frogs is really good. If you like Hellboy, they are a brilliant extension of the Universe. It's a bit like the Ghostbusters to me.

Aaron, I need to pick up a copy of Mutant Massacre eventually. I have the Fall of the Mutants OHC. It's the first OHC I think of that should probably have been tagged as an omnibus. It's huge!

I've been busy with sports the last two nights so not a lot of progress on AoA companion. I did read the Blink 4 issue mini-series in it last night. It leads right into the Exiles issues. Maybe tonight I'll have more time to work on it. :)

Picked up a copy of Squadron Supreme omnibus. They are pretty cheap and they are starting a new series with the title.

About half way thru Brubaker's Catwoman run. So far, I like his Marvel work a lot more than his DC work.

In my view Saga is miles ahead of Invincible.
It's a lot better written and the art is a tonn better...

Absolutely. I always thought Invincible was a disappointing series. Agree that Image is putting out super solid stuff right now though. East of West, Saga, and Southern Bastards are at the top!

Preacher is good but a bit heavy. If you enjoy Ennis' humor and the grotesque definitely give it a shot. I read it and recognized the excellence in it, just didn't really enjoy it.

I am excited about the new Green Lantern Omni coming out this week. I've read quite a bit of the content but it was always so haphazardly assembled across different trades and HCs that reading it in one Omni has be excited.

Though I realize it's only Johns' stuff and that does bum me out a bit. At least I can read that in one stretch.

GJ's done a good job on green lantern, I think I'd buy an aquaman omnibus as well, but not much else.

IDT can be slow.
Blindizer, it won't sell out, you'll be able to get it on Ebay cheap also, in fact it's already on the site. Prices will come down in the next months, as they did with Vol. 1.

Yeah I was reading up on the Eisner awards and looked into Will Eisner on Wikipedia. He coined the words 'graphic novel' and contract with God came up. Looks interesting. I'll keep you posted.

I haven't read it yet but I picked up a copy of IDW's Wild Blue Yonder book. It's a futuristic tale where after mankind has destroyed most of the surface of the earth people have to live in the skies. I've heard good things and I'll report on how it is once I get to it. :)

Finished off Wild Blue Yonder last night. It is a bit short but has good characterization of the main character with enough development of the other characters to make the story effective. It's a relatively simple tale told well with good art work.

Either Squadron Supreme or Ultimate Avengers is next for me. I'll wait for a little bit before reading GI Joe. I think I'll let a couple volumes build up and then read thru them.

I find the shorter OHCs are usually easy for me to pick up because I know it won't take to long to read thru them. When you pick up one of the big ones I know I'm committed for a while. :)

Alistair, I feel much better about my list compared to yours. :D

Looks like you are ready for your Brubaker Cap read with all volumes on hand. Sleeper should be a complete story along with Sandman and Fear Agent volumes. Thor is huge and I feel like I remember it having a finish where you aren't left hanging.

Locke and Key is fantastic but you might want to move that one to the bottom of the list along with Fatale since there are other volumes yet to come for those.

What are you planning on reading next? :)

I've recently picked up all 3 volumes of the Flash omnibus by Geoff Johns at a local bookstore (which I will happily overpay and support). I never read any of Johns' stuff before. So I'm really excited and can't wait to read next.

Guys I am so happy that I have seen your unread lists. Even though I have only started collecting a short time ago. Mostly everything is unread, aside from the trades that I bought. It is hard to contemplate reading the omnibus's that I have purchased without getting everything in some manner of order, as I am doing with the cosmic's.
When I get a chance I must take a picture of my shelves, I love all the pics for the group.
