I lucked out at my LCS and picked up most of the volumes, but I'm still after a copy of vol. 3 for a reasonable price.
Anyone thinking about the Will Eisner Contract with God Curator Edition that may be coming out this week? Seems pretty rad and a part of me wants to finally pick it up because of its historical and after living in NY a long one I love old NYC stories.

One of the best runs in comics history as far as i read. I have all the Omnibuses now, so i need to find sometime to dive back in to it with rereading volume 1 and 2 (it has been awhile) i totally recommend the starman. You won't regret.
Oh these books are what made me love JSA btw. You will probably end up buying Geoff Johns JSA Omnibuses afterwards of Starman. :D So be ready :D

I've done some looking at all of the new Batman Noir Hardcover editions and the only one that is a must for me is the Risso one. His use of heavy inking really shines in a volume dedicated to inking. The other volumes, Killing Joke and Dark Knight, dont benefit from being in Black and White.
Speaking of magnificent inking, waiting to get the Sam Keith Gallery Edition by Graphitti Designs. I bought a copy from IST, after seeing a preview of the art. Wow! Recommended. Especially if IST still has it on sale.

Any reprint of Dark Knight Strikes Again is a Batman cash grab. I think that story is horrible and doesn’t necessitate any special treatment.
FYI Hamilton Books has a standard HC (not OHC) of Watchmen for $9.99 right now. Quality is okay—matte paper, tight glued binding.
March 2018 brought me:Nailbiter #2 - Well, just awesome and fun. Like a good old horror movie.
Absolute Y- The Last Man #1 - Finally trying to start the series. I'm reluctant though since the setting does not ring a bell with me. It may be that I will not be continuing after #1.
Tomb Raider Library Edition #1 - Not read yet, just bought it because it looks nice next to the Tomb Raider Archives 😉
Irredemable #1 and #2 - Wow, what a ride. One of those series you don't want to put down. Will definitely stack up to #5 in April.
Ninjak - Classic Omnibus - As a trial version for the 90s Valiant world. If I like it I'm going to buy those other classic omnibus as well.
The Vision - what a journey. Great book, great story, great art, great vision, sorry for the pun. Best book I've read in a while.

I read all of Y the Last Man in Absolute format. It's widely praised but I put the Absolutes in my to trade or sell pile as I don't know that I will re-read. Great premise. I don't think the art was much improved in Absolute format versus the oversize Deluxe versions.
I just got the last volume of Irredeemable in and need to read the series as a whole for the first time. I bought the Absolute sized HC years ago when it came out (2011) but they never released any more so I've been in limbo wondering how this ends for ages.
I also bought the Tomb Raider LE1. I didn't pick up the archives but thought I would try the newer material and see what I think. The white spine looks great on the shelf.
The Vision OHC was fantastic. Easily the best Marvel material I read this year. Invincible is the best so far this year though. I'm completely caught up to the most recent OHC (11) and ready for the final book releasing in May.

My B.P.R.D. : Hell on Earth vol. 1 HC just arrived. I think i won't buy anything ever again from Amazon. The packaging was really poor... The upper corner of the dust jacket is tiny bit ripped... And there are some little rips inside of the book...
Hey Ozan, if you message customer service they will send a free replacement. Maybe better luck the a second time? It's happened to me a number of times, especially with omnibuses.
They want me to send the damaged book back... I can't really bother with that, too much work... This is probably my last amazon order. Bookdepository doesn't want the damaged item back, they just send a new one or make a discount.

Like your package, it was packed poorly and arrived badly dinged. They sent a replacement pronto and I sent them back. The second box wasn't much better than the first, but I was too ticked off to go through it again.
On the other hand, my mail carrier left a package on my doorstep while it was raining, and all my books were ruined. Even though it wasn't their fault, Amazon replaced them.
They rarely have the best price, so I don't order collections through them any more.

I ended up doing the same thing. I've found of late if I order a single book they usually come wrapped in a hard cardboard mailer and they arrive undamaged. I also had to order Invincible vol 9 from Amazon and it arrived in perfect shape. The other nice thing is free two day shipping. IST takes more than a week to get to me (media mail). I know that is great versus waiting for their shipping if you are in another country but it takes about 10 to 11 days most of the time. I've tried upgrading to UPS ground and ordered two packages the same time and they arrived the same day so not sure the extra money made any difference.

Nice! Looks like legionquest got moved back a week or two, I’ll probably pick it up with the Wrath of the Eternal Warrior Deluxe from Valiant that I have been dying for.
I've got Planer Hulk Omni and Low Deluxe 1 coming in this week. Thinking it may be time to start thinning the collection a bit.

I actually had no idea about a coloring difference for Sandman. I’ve heard similar things about other DC comics though—Watchmen, Killing Joke, Batman Year One. I prefer original coloring as well. Although I’m not a fan of Sandman, it’s always nice to pickup a whole set and I respect its place in dark fantasy.

I have all of it, not the box set though, as single volumes without box and i don't think there are any HC release plans of the series in the future.
Finally received the Infinity Gauntlet box set! Planning to sell a number of TPBs now that I have the content in hardcover. FYI, this box is same height and depth as the Civil War box set but about 6-7 inches longer. In March I also picked up Daredevil vol.2 by Waid, the 3 Green Lantern Omnis by Johns and the Punisher Max Omni by Aaron.I've been downsizing my collection the last several weeks through evilBay and it feels great to have more room and just keep my favorites. That said, I've got another 10 omnis and a number of OHCs on pre-order through the rest of the 2018. Problems.
Got Metabarons today. Big fan of Jodorowsky's space opera work. Just pure craziness!
Well the bad news is that the store that sold me the Fourth World omni can't get a new edition to replace the version I have with the printing error. But the good news is that they're refunding me without wanting the book returned. 1535 pages for the price of 1!
@Jesse: Metabaron is the last of Jodorowskis work that I am missing. which edition did you get?

I have a package coming in today. It should contain the first TPB of Realm, Head Lopper, Ei8ght, Kill Six Billion Demons (1&2), and the fourth Bendis Guardians of the Galaxy OHC.
I've been looking forward to checking out Realm. It's a post-apocalyptic fantasy where the world as we know it was suddenly overrun with orcs, dragons and other nameless horrors. I hope it's great. :)

I’ve got head lopper v2 coming as well. Highly recommend checking v1 out. Great book probably my fave of 2017
A couple questions to the collector's pool:(1) Do Absolute editions on IST start off at 50% off or are they always 42% off max?
(2) Has anyone read Wasteland and if so could they comment on the Apocalyptic Editions?
(3) Has anyone read Queen & Country and if so could they comment on the definitive editions?

If I like Head Lopper vol 1 I'll pick up vol two. Looks like it will be released this next week. Vol 1 is nice and thick.

Cool! I may do the same, Oni press has an extra 5% off right now for 48 hours, it’s only a couple dollar difference but considering going ahead and getting it also.
So much to my surprise the Planet Hulk Omnibus is small (about half the size of World war Hulk omni) and Low Deluxe 1 is another GIANT Image book.
Remender likes big books. Kinda nice. Great value. Fear Agent then Deadly Class are my biggest books.

I had an issue with Irredeemable 5 as well. I ordered it but they got in touch with me to tell me it was sold out and they needed to pick another book or refund me. I assume they will get more copies in but I may just order it off of Amazon ($12 more).
