I recently got that as well. It's very nice but had quite a bit of gutter loss. Still worth getting though. His art is just so good. He can put so much into one panel.

Absolute Preacher
The Amazing Spider-Man Vol. 1
The Amazing Spider-Man Vol. 2
They are beautiful!

Recently added:
Locke & Key Master Ed #1
Crisis on Infinite Earths DLX
iZombie Omnibus
Knighfall Omnibus #1
Absolute Batman Court of Owls
Tokyo Ghost DLX
Punisher Max 1-3, 6 (4 and 5 are a pain in the ass to get)
Fatale DLX #1
Ex Machina DLX #1 (awesome btw, does it keep up?)

Switched to trades/omnis etc a couple of years later, and now it's almost an obsession with me.

I really like Omnisbuses, Absolutes and Deluxes and i'm a trade waiter.

I'm trying and being able to stop buying stuff for almost 2 months or so, because there's not plenty of time and money, between work, being a family member (dad, husband) BJJ classes and last but not least, my statue collection.
I'm hoping to get my reading In time so I can get some more stuff till the end of the year.
I'm more of a winter reader since in Portugal we can enjoy true summers (plenty of sun, beaches, places to visit etc) and there's not that much of a "urge" to read, I've small "wishlist", more cosmic stuff, Venom and Carnage, Uncanny X-force and LOBO (the only thing from DC that I own).
Let's see how everything goes.

You should get back training!

That Artist Edition is double sized pages like Jack originally drew on so will literally be the biggest Kirby art possible and my new biggest book! Also it's listed at just 120 despite cover of 150 on IST which makes it the first Artist Edition I have seen have 20% off. That all made it a must own for me. Can't wait!

Nickviola: Sounds like a great haul. Is that your first artist edition? I've grabbed a few when I can find them bargain priced and they're great. Don't have any with Kirby art though.
Dropped comics once middle school hit. Then my first semester of law school resulted in stress and life getting too adult, so 2 am in the library, I subscribed to 10 DC comics and 10 Marvel comics. About 13 years later and my wife has put up with a huge storage room of back issues (probably about 140 short boxes), hundreds of statues, half a dozen Ross canvas prints, and now . . . More HC we can handle.
It's been a great escape for me but truthfully, when I think about it, I feel guilty sometimes. So I unloaded about 2/3 of the statue collection. It paid off the debt and the excess (kinda bitter sweet) has been dumped back into a few statues and a crap ton of Omnibus, Absolutes and other HC DLX. I sure do love reading them though.

Yeah it´s a nice escape from the "real world" and at least it´s not drugs or alcohol(!)
I´ve slowed down my spendings since I´ve so many books to read and there´s no "point" for me to just load my office with books wraped in plastic, but I do know that´s the smartest thing to do since probably I might have to get them on a reprint or something.
I've been reading comics since about 1985. Stopped buying singles in 2015 but have always been buying hardcovers since about the 90's. Also have a comic art and statue collection.

I had to stop training, f*/*ked my spine from wear and tear from so much martials arts. Going through rehab now. It's taking all my money to fix it and so much time. I learned a lot, but I wouldn't have gone so hard had I know the later affects on the body and joints.
My Kung Fu teacher got me into comics. He handed me Volume 1 of Daredevil by Bendis. I was blown away.
I then moved to London and saw online they had an omnibus of the DD run that I always wanted to finish. That was 4 years ago and I haven't stopped collecting ever since.

Iron Fist makes it look so effortless. It's almost as if comic books don't depict things in a realistic manner. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Yeah!
Comics had much importance in my life since I was a little kid, I've a brother that is 12 y older than me and he was a huge influence in my life, despite some bad choices he had make, he had a HUGE collection of vinyls (rock, metal stuff) and comics and so since I started to pay attention to the world that I remember touching and "reading" comic books and listening to GNR, Crimson glory, megadeth, Metallica, suicidal tendencies, anthrax, helloween, king diamond, to name a few...he influenced me in liking not the "mainstream" characters (hulk, capt America etc) but instead Vision, wolverine, master of kung-fu, Man-thing, black panther...
I hope my 9 months kid gets into comics and martial arts because I seriously think it's important to ones mind and body, let's see how things work :)
Oh and I've lucky that my wife likes this stuff too.

Got myself five gorgeous tremendously oversized HC from Germany.
I hate Fairyland 'Luxusausgabe' 1 and 2. Both are limited to 555 prints.
Also OHC Wolverine Origins, Weapon X and Old Man Logan in German.
OHC here meaning larger than the DC absolutes. Largest books I have now in my collection.

Absolute Batman Court of Owls for comparison. A numbered art print is included in the first Fairlyland edition, shown in one of the pics. Really gorgeous.
Thanks! Looks fantastic. I don't know why the USA hasn't caught up to Europe when it comes to book sizes.
Took advantage of IST's 3% loyalty discount and bought Silver Age Adam Strange Omnibus and Silver Age Legion of Super Heroes. Both will be first time reads for me. Slowly building my DC silver age library.

Totally understood. I refuse to read golden age for the reasons you guys mentioned. For marvel, silver age is where it all started and I like to see the original origins and intents behind characters and events.
DC I've never read so I'm hoping I can tolerate the writing style for their stories. I'm excited though because it's a universe I heard about but never visited.

I read Hellboy LE 1-4 in about 2 weeks and then couldn't put down Plague of Frogs and read all 4 volumes in a week.

I'm thinking about ordering Punisher: Back to War Omnibus. afterall i have only read the Daredevil issues in DD: Visionaries books in the omni long time ago. I really wonder how the first Punisher mini is and all but i need to get Walt Simonson Thor Omnibus reprint first. That's my priority right now. After i got it for sure, i will look for whatelse i can get.

Hope you enjoy the LSH and Adam Strange. The LSH was more geared towards younger readers at the time, so if you can get past that, maybe you can enjoy the stories. Are you a Legion fan? If you are, you'll see a lot of what later became part of the Legion universe in these stories. When 13 year old Jim Shooter became the writer, issue #346 I think, the quality pics up a good bit, and when Curt Swan drew the Legion, it was pretty nice compared to the earlier, blocky art by Jim Forte.
I've been reading some Golden Age DC lately, and for me the hurdle is the art. Some of that art was so crudely drawn! I'm working my way through the All-Star Comics Archive (JSA) but also have GA Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman, as well as some others.
As a DC fan, I have to admit that Marvel was much better in the Silver Age. I've been reading Avengers Masterworks, and although the bombast and bickering of the cast gets old quick, there's still lots of characterization there you didn't see at DC at the time.

There is a new copy of X-Men: Inferno OHC on Amazon for $184. The last last "new" copy I saw on eBay sold for 375.

I only know Legion from a few episodes of a couple cartoons and maybe a few issues of Superman. Thanks for the info!
