Captain America Omnibus Vol. 1 (new print)
Captain America Omnibus Vol. 2
Both by Stan Lee.
The New Frontier DLX has some great content. I really do like Cooke's art. Probably my favorite thing by Cooke. I also really liked Parker but that is much darker.

Cooke's interpretation of Parker was perfect. I don't think there's any ONE artist I'd like to see take over; but I'd still like to see IDW continue what Darwyn started. Choosing artists with similar styles to Cooke would be awful; but letting artists well-established in comics noir each adapt a novel (or 4 novels per artist, continuing Darwyn's legacy) might be very cool. Eduardo Risso, Paul Pope, Sean Phillips, Jordi Bernet, Lee Bermejo, David Aja...
I'll have to check out the New Frontier soon.

I was thinking the same thing, that a second Martini Edition would be released sooner rather than later.

The Parker Martini edition contains an interview with Cooke and Brubaker about the content. I think if anyone does continue to adapt Parker stories into comic book format, trying to follow in Cooke's footsteps Brubaker would be the natural selection for it.
I'm torn on what to say about art. We already know there are artists who have worked with Brubaker before that could do a great job (Epting or Butch Gucie both jump to my mind) but a different style of layout and pencils could bring a very different feel to the story even though I suspect Brubaker could maintain the same story telling ambiance in his adaption work as Cooke did.
I would like to see a second Martini Edition. Or, should it have a little different title alluding to a different drink? Manhattan Edition?
The scene in Kingdom Come where the Specter cries "Judgment!" gives me chills.

I remember reading those stories as a french teenager in early 80s ( it was translate late).
Damn those stories have not aged well....

I'm going to start reading that soon. I hear that it gets better towards the end.

Still waiting on my GL omnibus.

100% agree on both counts.
I was away on training last week and ended up getting a little extra money in my paycheck because of it. I'm using a portion to pick up a couple books on my wish-list for a while. The Batman Haunted Knight Absolute will finally be added to the collection. :)

Nice! I'm hoping to finally add that this summer to my shelf. I think there is nothing new for me between June and November.

I believe RIP is already a deluxe. We are still hoping for a Batman and son/black glove/ RIP absolute.

That's why God invented EBay.

The Absolutes are nice and all but I just find them too unwieldy for my shelves.

I really have too many books, but love it!!

Not quite sure if they are both out this week, but I plan on picking up the Squadron Supreme Classic Omnibus and the Shang-Chi Omnibus. Expensive week if they are both out.

Captain America White HC
Superman: Secret Identity HC
Batman Death of the Family vol.3 HC
Killing and Dying by Adrian Tomine
I already have the older Squadron Supreme omnibus. So it's a hard sell on the new one since the main story is already collected in the edition I have.
I am tempted somewhat by the Shang-Chi omnibus. I've never read any of that material though I've seen fans lamenting the fact there are no reprints of the material for years. No sure how much of that is nostalgia for something they read growing up.
I picked up Cable/X-Force Messiah War OHC. It was pricey but I bought it less than the going rate at just over $50. It was priced at $70 but I took advantage of a Memorial Day sale.

I had passed on the original SS because I didn't like the mini that much but with the additional material it makes it worth trying.
I've been waffling on Shang-Chi as well. It is not something I would normally be interested in and I'm concerned that the love of kung fury has long disappeared.

Today it looks like we have the release (on IST) of The Goon Library edition 3, Shang Chi omnibus 1, Squadron Supreme Classic omnibus, and the Star Wars Droids and Ewoks omnibus.
I'll be ordering the Goon vol 3 at least.

I just checked and IST has restocked all of the Goon Library Editions. V1 was sold out for awhile. If I didn't have such an expensive haul this week I would have picked it up this week.
Just purchased the Squadron Supreme and first Shang-Chi Omnibus.

I ordered the first Shang-Chi omnibus as well. Did you get the variant? I went ahead and picked it up.
Friday I'll probably do a Goon vol 3 and Last Days of the Marvel Universe OHC buy. Maybe Carbon Grey too.

I got the Starlin version. I'm going back to my original decree of only getting the one with the original art.

That's a nice start Fluffy!
At some point I'd like to read that Dr. Strange. I've read most of Aaron's stuff and liked it, but not really a fan of Bachalo's art though.

Thanks! Yeah I only really got doctor strange cuz it was €7 but now I'm looking forward...should be unique.

Thank you, I look forward to giving it!

I noticed that IST has the Original Sin main and companion books at 50%, so I snagged those, along with the Shang-Chi Starlin cover. I'd say if you're on the fence about this one, go ahead and pick it up as I think it has a good chance of being a book that goes for a lot once it's OOP, so you'll have no trouble recovering your investment should you decide you no longer want it.
