Not sure. I remember they had it all mapped out for multiple volumes but can't remember exactly when the first volume came out relative to the films. It may just take longer to clean up the files.

With as many omnibus that they are pumping out, I'm sure they have a priority list. New stuff is easier but the older stuff needs remastering. Second volumes of SA Hulk and DD are conspicuously missing but I know DDs early stories weren't that great either so they may be gauging desire and return on investment.

I didn't see it on IST. CGN had it, but it wasn't clear it was actually in stock. Amazon has it for full price. I ended up ordering from OPB (first order from them). It was a couple dollars more than CGN but I think they actually had it and I've been wanting to try them anyway.

Good to know. I didn't see any entry on IST for it and I was refreshing right at 2pm (normal release time in my timezone) . I went ahead and purchased it from Organic books as well. $10 more than IST but it's worth it and still cheaper than Amazon or similar retailers.

Yeah for the brief moment I saw it, Last Call was only listed by IST for 30% off, so unless you pay for shipping, OPB being $5 more is nothing. Once it dropped from my cart, I checked CGN since I still had the tab open, but it was already listed as a “special order” item, so maybe I’ll get it? Amazon is dead to me.

I think you’ll be happy with OPB, if both of you have never used. I tried them once before and packaging was suburb, keep hearing positives on Reddit. Only thing that holds me back is their generally higher prices, but they’re now my firm backup to IST.

Blind: I should've responded to this a while ago, but it slipped my mind after a few hectic weeks with work. I was sort of joking about the new bookcase, but space is dwindling and I estimate I have enough room for maybe another 30-35 books currently. Not a problem at all. Really amazing to see the differences and I never noticed before that your closet is full too! How many months/years between some of the photos?

I like those frames for slabbed comics. I could see getting those if I ever get around to doing that.

May have asked you this before but who did the art for those single characters on a white background?

Do you think you will be able to stop or have everything you want, once you fill that last shelf? I've had to resort to "hiding" OHCs in order to keep omnibus up front and visible.

I'm considering making a rolling "shelf" to hide my comic boxes which would give me a little more room to hang some artwork (or maybe a Cap shield replica).

This particular room I’ve been “building” since early 2018, so just over 4 years now. I think I first took pics summer of 2018, when I finally had the financial means to start targeting frames and hanging some of my favorite pieces.

She basically just repurposes other people’s work, but I like her MCU series and the overall design.

Can’t say I’ll ever stop, ha! At some point I decided to collect all things X-Men, and that seems to be expanding to Spider-Man as well, possibly also Daredevil. But I’m definitely slowing. I’m getting close to 100 CGC comics as well, which seems like a good stopping point.

I like your idea of trying to conserve space, though, focus more on artwork—what I get most excited about. There’s an Etsy artist that made my Mk1 Arc Reactor on my desk, she does great metal work and I’ve toyed with the idea of buying Cap’s shield or Mjölnir, but where to put it??

BZ, generally speaking, DCBS posts new books on the 5th of the month, around 4-5pm eastern time. Pretty sure that includes months when the 5th falls on a weekend. The cut off date to subtract items seems to vary, but usually around the 25th, although books can be added up to the day the next month's offerings are posted.

You guys pre-ordering from DCBS, do you notice if you get 'price matched' if IST discounts a book on release day? I took a $15 hit on Conan when I pre-ordered for its price from ToW and IST released it as a deal of the week. They don't price match on ToW orders.

Also they won't let me cancel my ToW way out pre-orders w/out a 20% restocking fee, which is ridiculous esp. on the way next year ones. So re-thinking pre-ordering from them vs release day fishing on IST.

Picked up the DC One Million omni but with a twist!

Ages ago, it was mis-priced at about $19 on amazon and they delisted that listing, cancelling order and listed it anew. I ordered the new one but complained and they said they would refund the difference once it arrived.

SIX MONTHS LATER

It arrives, I contact Amazon and do refund the $80 difference from the price I pre-ordered the original listing for and the price I pre-ordered this for. Thing is, they also refunded a price drop from pre-order to release as part of their pre-order promise.

Long story short, Amazon paid me to own the DC One Million omni

I received my Parker Last Call from OPB and I am very impressed with the packaging. Different than IST but clearly the book was wrapped with care. I thought it was interesting that they added a note to the USPS about this still being eligible for Media Mail and shouldn't charge for extra shipping or return it. I've heard standard comics are not considered eligible for Media Mail (mostly because it has ads in it). I liked getting the OPB bookmark included in the box.

Parker is a beautiful book (on the outside, haven't opened it.). Same size as the first Vol but with a beautiful painting on canvas picture of Parker. Much more colorful slipcase than V1. Spine lettering is different than V1, both on the slipcase and the actual book, but the slipcase is so different from V1 it bypasses my OCD.

Looking forward to reading it.
