It gets better in the 2nd half....but not by much. Agreed! Too long winded.

message 53: by Mike (new) - rated it 5 stars

Mike (tigermike) Whilst I too struggled with the length of this book, don't give up on some of his other books. I have read them all now and gave 'Someone We Know' and 'Innocent' 5 stars but gave 'Identical' only 4 stars. I have not read them in any particular order over the years, although they do have repeat characters in other books. It never phased me if I read the later before the earlier one. I do admit I really enjoy legal thrillers. For a historic story of a man putting together his father's past, I'd highly recommend his "Ordinary Heroes' - a 5 star book.
