Goals for 2015
1. Regain control of the TBR: On January 1st I owned 153 unread books. I hope to get 53 down ;) This means I shouldn't buy any new books *fingers crossed*
2. Travel through books: I fail at this goal every year... I must improve eventually, so I keep trying.
3. Read more women writers!
4. In case I'm in a bookstore and too tempted: It has to be a) a gorgeous edition, and b) preferably written by a woman. That should be enough restriction to keep shopping sprees at a minimum.
5. Also: Read more Non Fiction. I love NF, but seldom read it. Foolish me.

My main resolution is to read more Russian literature. I received some beautiful editions for Christmas so this shouldn't be too difficult. I have already read Crime and Punishment this year and I enjoyed it so much that I'm sure I'll read many more.
I've learnt my lesson and don't try to put myself on book buying bans, they seem to make me worse lol.
Good luck with all your resolutions Iselin, you certainly are being strict with yourself!
I hope you enjoy Rebecca. I read it last year for the first time and ended up becoming a big fan of Daphne Du Maurier :)

The ban is mere experiment. I'm currently writing my thesis and don't get out of the house much, so it will be quite easy till the end of april ;)
The main part of my goals is to develop a consciousness for them. I just want to see how far I get and what proves irresistable.
Now that my time as a lit student comes to an end, my book choices are going to change as well as my book buying habits. I want to rediscover my own preferences. For example as a student I would happily buy every old classic at a bargain price. But now I'm not bound to read those books anymore, at least not to that extent, so now I can choose prettier editions and other genres too.
