Sophie (thebookmermaid) Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe
Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire Sáenz

Description:
Aristotle is an angry teen with a brother in prison. Dante is a know-it-all who has an unusual way of looking at the world. When the two meet at the swimming pool, they seem to have nothing in common. But as the loners start spending time together, they discover that they share a special friendship—the kind that changes lives and lasts a lifetime. And it is through this friendship that Ari and Dante will learn the most important truths about themselves and the kind of people they want to be.

Sophie (thebookmermaid) so excited!! I haven't been able to read at all this week cause of school (and then just being too exhausted at night time to do anything other than Netflix) so woo!

Colleen | 511 comments Started this!

Colleen | 511 comments Also can you move this to the in progress folder please?

Colleen | 511 comments I really like the writing so far and I also like that Aristotle is Mexican :) I love when books have Spanish characters/settings.

Sophie (thebookmermaid) idk how to move it. I don't see anything that allows me to do so. And I'm liking the writing as well. It's nice to see more diverse characters in books!

Matty | 469 comments I seriously LOVED this book!(: I hope you all do too!

Sophie (thebookmermaid) Just finished chapter 5:
Aristotle and Dante just met but they both are such great characters individually and when placed together they work great off one another. I also love how it's written, it flows so well.

Trisha | 30284 comments sorry, I had computer issues last night
I tried to post THIS last night...

so, the chapter number start over with each "section" that's read, so I'm just reading "sections" and then updating with the name of the section I've finished....I hope that makes sense.

Through the different rules of summer

(view spoiler)

Through sparrows falling from the sky

(view spoiler)

this is really good so far! I'll read more tomorrow!

Sophie (thebookmermaid) Section: Letters on a Page
Chapter: 28
(view spoiler)

Colleen | 511 comments Starting the section "part of summer" or part 3.

Sophie (thebookmermaid) Finished the book 3 stars
I enjoyed the writing of the book but I just felt no connection with Aristotle or Dante :/

message 23: by Trisha, lives on coffee (new) - rated it 2 stars

Trisha | 30284 comments I'm done too!
sorry, I would have posted more but Goodreads keeps kicking me out

I'm with you Sophie. I liked it...but the writing style made it difficult to really connect with either character.

Colleen | 511 comments Only about half way :P will probably finish tommorrow or Thursday

Colleen | 511 comments I finished the book! I really enjoyed it but I didn't really like the ending, I felt like it was to abrupt. 4 stars
