Oh, boy. I started this and I'm cringing. It has a very amateurish writing and a vibe like it's been written a few years back not only two years ago.

Like, what's with the conversation she has with the girl, all with the questions. I understand some being said as a question but not all, and it just looks idiotic.

I'm at Sam's chapter where he talks/thinks about the ex.. and jeez, all is super dramatic, pretentious and just *shudders*

I finished the first 7 chapters, I couldn't take more of it.

I'm still in the process of reading it but I'm so glad that you feel the same way! This is my second time picking this up...I gave up the first time after chapter 2. I'm hoping that it will get better because my hopes aren't very high right now.

I have no hopes at all. I already started skimming and I honestly don't know how I'm going to finish it. It's like the author didn't know how teenagers, well humans in general, sound like and act. I mean, there probably is someone out there that's like some of the characters, but come on.

Good-ish news. I started reading it a bit to have less later, and after chapter 10 things are getting less annoying, although I'm just starting chapter 13, but they interacted and that was not pissing me off.

Things do get better comparing to the chapters in the beginning that were cringy. I got really interested in how things were going to go that I just finished chapter 27 😅

Chapter 15. I like how the chapter ended. Her and her roomate's moment.

Chapter 18. The whole text that comes after the messages. He's older than her only 3-4 years but he acts like she's sooooo young. She's a girl, while he needs a woman that's his age. What?

And the "Maybe they could be friends when she was old enough to count as a person." What? There's an age where you become a person??

Chapter 27: (view spoiler)[ Mallory and Jude are not that bad as they were presented in the beginning. They just want to include her and I find that so adorable, and Penny accepted so that makes me glad. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 43: (view spoiler)[ It's nice that she developed a relationship with Sam, and that she discovered that Mallory and Jude are/want to be her friends, but it's super shitty how she's towards her mother. (hide spoiler)]

I finished it. It's funny how I really hated it in the beginning but now I'm thinking if it's a 3 GR stars for me.
(view spoiler)[Firstly, I'm glad she had at least a talk with her mother, although I wished there to be more because it doesn't feel finished. The same thing applies with her friendships, it feels like there are things left unsaid.

Secondly, At first I didn't really get the relationship between Sam and Penny, well... it's more that they had no connection and it felt empty that they'll end up together, but by the end I get it. When you spend so much time texting with someone you get attached and especially when you discuss serious topics it's bound to you getting a connection. (hide spoiler)]
