Reviving old threads - When does it end?

I see a lot of old threads under the "Suggest Books for Me" section that get revived after a few years, often by the mods. Often, the OP no longer seems to be around. Do you all think that there is a point where we should stop updating old threads to let new threads take the floor?

I see these threads as a resource for the whole group. It's likely that even if the OP is no longer around, current members might still be interested in the themes that are the subject matter of the threads.

The volume of new comments in older threads is pretty small - it's small in relation to the new threads being created in "Suggest Books for Me," and the volume of comments in all of the "Suggest Books for Me" is small in relation to the comments in new "Unsolved" threads.

So I don't really see new threads in that folder as being prevented from "taking the floor."
