Theresa | 15655 comments Actually lots of buddy reads have been in Activities and Challenges, and last year Christmas in July was there too which is why I stuck it there this year. And when I started a buddy read a few months ago, I looked to see where a current one was and just posted miney there.

I don't really care. However, if there are guidelines on what goes where to start threads for these kinds of unofficial challenges, group reads, and read-alongs, maybe they can be pinned somewhere obvious in one locked post? Would be very helpful for newer members and others who decide to brave leading a group read of some kind. Could be called 'Unofficial Group Reads Guidelines"?

Nope, no guidelines! I can always move things. I try to keep the non-official PBT stuff like buddy reads and stuff in Footnotes, but there is no official rule. I probably miss moving some of them. It is not a big deal in the slightest. It is the minorest of deals. So minor it is a non-deal.

But you are right, there are lots of buddy reads in the Activities folders, perhaps at one point I said to put them there? I honestly do not remember and it makes zero difference. lol

People are very on edge lately....I think five months of quarantine may be all of our breaking points!

Actually, I think everyone is looking for control (something that has been discussed a lot in the Quarantine Kaffeeklatches - the loss of control more explicitly) and now for consistency, firm rules and guidance given the total lack of any on the federal level, and for many on state and local levels. People are tired of uncertainty. We look tk impose order where we can in our lives when too much runs amok. I see it constantly in my law practice...representing coops and condos.
