Briefly explain a theme from your current silent reading book.

The theme of POWER is evident in 'Lord of the Flies' because of the way that some of the characters jostle for control of the group, whilst others seem fine to be told what to do.

The theme of my book is mystery, mainly because every character in the book always wants to know what's going on and who's behind all the problems.

The main theme of 'White Fang' is love begets love. This is evident in the book when White Fang is 'tamed' and transformed from this violent and vicious wolf-dog into a gentle and protective dog. By the end of the book he is very obedient and loyal to wards his loving master and will do anything to protect him and his family. Another theme that is evident but not as major if survival of the fittest. This is apparent more towards the start of the book where only the strongest of the pack survive.
