I AGREE
IT WAS SO GOOD

Lilly S I think that the books decreased as they went on

Lilly S Hunger Games was amazing, Catching Fire was meh, and Mockingjay way just no.

message 58: by [deleted user] (new)

mockinjay was so bad
at least i wrote a rant over it

Jacqui M OK if you have read all of the books except the ballad of songbirds and snakes you need to read it please it is awesome I read it in three days.

kei (keimy) | 4 comments Did anyone else felt the first book a bit bland?

or maybe its just me but i felt no connection with Katniss and it just felt to bland to me. The rest of the trilogy was a bit less boring and bland tho so i did like this series a bit.
Also Gale can get lost in the amazon forest :|

message 61: by Luna (new) - rated it 5 stars

Luna (luna13) | 93 comments The first book was great and the second book was okay but Mockingjay was just awful.

My favorite part of the series tbh

Lucia | 3 comments I love this books! Though, to be honest, Mockingjay felt a bit slow sometimes. And I'm team Peeta all the way, because Gale was just too violent, with no reason. It's like only him or the people he knew mattered. Anyways, I'm scared of reading the new book, because everyone says it's bad and I don't want to be disappointed!

I read The Hunger Games last year and I love it. The end is really sad and I really want to watch the movies. Are they as good as the books?

it is

the main character makes it bad

and Finnick was the best
*cri*

YESSSSSSSS

IT WAS THE BOOK OF THE SERIES

squeakers | 2576 comments Jacqui wrote: "OK if you have read all of the books except the ballad of songbirds and snakes you need to read it please it is awesome I read it in three days."

It took me a month and a half to read it the first time💀

annelie :) (annelie_) I read the whole trilogy (haven't read ballad of songbirds yet) in a week, it was so much better than expected. the movies are nothing compared to the book, the trauma is much more showed in the books somehow. I read them not that long ago and I want to read them again already

message 71: by Kim (new) - rated it 4 stars

Kim (couleuri) | 23 comments I read the whole trilogy ( i have a book that have the whole trilogy in it, its a BRICK !) I really liked the books and almost cried on it. Might reread the end because i dont remember the final.

message 73: by Lola (new) - rated it 5 stars

Lola | 6 comments I read the trilogy duribg cuarentine and they help me to survive, and i read ballad if songbirds a few months ago and like It too, is a totally diferent style but is a good book, i think suzanne's plan is to make another trilogy

Serene (serenitybookworm) | 40 comments love the Hunger Games and rereading it currently for the 2nd time! still need to read a Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, can't wait to!

Imogen Reeves (purplegems3) | 14 comments I still need to read The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes but happy to RP & reread the series

Gabby I’ve read the Ballard of songbirds and snakes. It’s so good.

Hadar | 1 comments I've read hunger games 3 times but I haven't read the prequel. Is it worth it?

message 78: by Luna (new) - rated it 5 stars

Luna (luna13) | 93 comments Hadar wrote: "I've read hunger games 3 times but I haven't read the prequel. Is it worth it?"

I personally hated the prequel and wouldn't say it's worth it. The premise sounds interesting but the actual story came out as a flop. The characters were dull especially one of the MC who's a cringe-worthy maniac pixie girl. However while I didn't feel any pity for Coriolanus (who the story is about) he was an interesting character. The plot was nonexistent. Based on the majority of reviews I see most people agree with me but guess it depends on what you like.

I love this series and have read the ballad of songbirds and snakes many times, but am still confused a little about the ending... (view spoiler)

Tallypzo | 5 comments I know we left off talking about the prequel (btw thanks for using Spoiler warnings) BUT I'd love to discuss about this:

(!!!SPOILERS FOR MOCKINGJAY!!!)

Do you think Gale killed Prim? Do you blame him for her death or do you think it was just a coincidence that Gale's bombs were the ones that led to her death?
What's your opinion on this?

message 86: by Luna (new) - rated it 5 stars

Luna (luna13) | 93 comments I saw the trailer for the prequel only today and it kind of piqued my interest. It's coming out an entire year and a half but hopefully it'll make the book more interesting.

message 87: by FantasyFan08 (new) - added it

FantasyFan08 | 41 comments I really enjoyed this series alot! I read it about 2 years ago. The 3rd book is my favorite though. I never got a book hangover from these but I had a heck of a hangover from The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes. Suzanne Collins is a really good author who knows how to grasp my focus thoughout a book without losing me. I prefer Peeta and Katniss over Gale and Katniss. Both the boys have stupid idiotic jerk moments though. I think Gale isn't half bad but I feel like Peeta is just a bit more sympathetic.

squeakers | 2576 comments Lillyyy wrote: "Hmmm. Tbh I really didn’t like the third book, but that was also a while ago and I do need to do a reread, so idk"

the third book was only nasty because there were a bunch of unnecessary deaths
it gave me an awful headache when I re-read it the 2nd time because I cried that much
