Jessie | 4 comments I have a photo of little me reading this book (probably 2001-2003) and all I can make out is a pointy-eared, light brown dog looking into a puddle. The page reads "I feel the rain fall. I see me" Unfortunately thats all I know, and my family don't recognise it at all. I grew up in QLD, Australia, and I'm sure at least that it wasn't very old when I got my hands on it, and I was born in 1997. It's a rather minimalistic art style, and I don't think it was a part of a long-going series either. Any help would be greatly appreciated; there's no shortage of doggo picture books out there.

Jessie, can you describe the minimalistic illustrations - e.g., realistic or cartoon-like, painted watercolors or bold graphics, bright or dark colors, black & white? Do they remind you of a similar illustrator or picture book author?

Cartoon-like, more block colours, from what I can see some pages seem bright, but the one it's open on is a mottled pale green background. The lines are clean and not sketchy, and I can't find any similar illustrators, frustratingly.

Jessie, please post a new comment if you're still looking for this book - or if you found it.
