Cris took off his hand and pulled her into a hug.
She was very surprised at first, but then she hugged him back tightly, burying her face in his neck. She almost had forgotten what it felt like to be comforted.
Cris rubbed her back softly. "She'll forgive you."
She nodded silently, and whispered, "Thanks." Something about having someone from home made her feel a lot less lonely, and definitely happier. She knew she could trust Cris.
He smiled and pulled away. "You should probably talk to her."
"Yeah, i was planning to." she says, looking over at Ella's sleeping form. "I'll talk to her when she wakes up." she says, wanting to let the young girl sleep for as long as possible.
Cris nodded. "So....what is your guy's plan?"
Aubrey looks back at him and sighs, "I don't think we really have a plan. It's mostly just, stay together and keep eachother alive." she says
"Ah." He said. "Thats a nice plan."
Cris smiled. "Its a great plan to me."
Aubrey shrugs, "I'm glad you like it." she says then starts walking back toward Gillin and Ella, "I guess we should head back over." she says
As soon as the sun comes up, Ella eyes open quickly. She sits up quickly. “Is everyone okay?” She mumbles, still half asleep. She rubs her eyes and looks around.
Gillin glares at Ella. "He's in our side."
Gillin rolls his eyes. "You're not acting like it." He snapped back.
She purses her lips. “I’m sorry I’m such a disappointment to everyone.” She snaps and glares at the group. She lets out a quick breath.
"You'd better be." Gillin retorts.
"Your not a disappointment." He glared at Gillin.
"I'm sorry for making you not trust Aubrey." Cris said.
Gillin continued to glare at Cris. "Aubrey deserves more trust than she'll ever get."
Aubrey sits down beside Ella, "Hey, in really sorry for saying what I did. It's not true, I do want you here." She says
Ella clears her throat. If if she did forgive Aubrey, she would never forget how she had acted toward her in defense of Cris.
Aubrey pulls away, and meets Ella's gaze. She knew she had probably permanently hurt Ella, and she didn't know how to fix it. So, she stood and sat beside Gillin.
Hayley strides in, but pauses when she sees the group. "Not you again," she mutters. She debates leaving, but decides to hide by the entrance until the right time.
Cris noticed someone walk into the cornucopia. "I'll be right back." He whispered and snuck into the Cornucopia.
Hayley sees someone else and curses under her breath. She holds up her mace, not afraid to swing it at whoever it is. Actually, bashing their skull would give some satisfaction. Hayley puts a hand by her waist, ready to draw a fragment of needed.
Cris walked in and saw Hayley. "Oh, hi."
"I'm not going to hurt." Cris said smiling.
Hayley rolls her eyes. "This is the Hunger Games you idiot," she snaps. "The strong survive." She tightens her grip on the mace. "And the weak perish." Hayley attempts a kick at his stomach.
He was a lot faster then he looked, and dodged out of the way. "Suppose thats true. Doubt I'll win."
Gillin watches with interest.
He grunted and fell over from the impact.
