Huzzah! What Frees the Heart is available now in Kindle and paperback editions (the latter on both Amazon and Barnes & Noble's online store).

The tag line: can they set each other free? What confines both Tom and Jenny, residents of Cowbird Creek, Nebraska in 1876, are their life circumstances. Tom lost his leg to a falling plowshare (in What Heals the Heart). Jenny is a young prostitute with an abusive family life behind her, and nothing she can picture in her future but more of the present. As they find and get to know each other, they also learn about their own personal abilities and resources . . . .

This book is not a sequel to What Heals the Heart. Rather, as with many romance series, it returns to the same locale -- Cowbird Creek, in this case -- and shifts the focus to other characters. Tom and Jenny both appeared in the first book, but now take center stage. Those who've read the first book will see the reappearance of its main characters, Joshua and Clara, as well as important secondary characters like Freida, Jedidiah, and Madam Mamie. And you'll get to know some other characters, like Silas Finch, rather better.
