There are two vampire hunters and they work like bounty hunters.
One uses a whip to fight.
In the den one takes a job as a cleaner while the other volunteers as a blood tribute.
FL rescues a young boy and takes him with her when they escape at the request of one of the elder vampires who knew what was going to happen.
Writer was a female if that helps.
