Splintered Buddy Read

Heather and I are starting a buddy read for starting Monday Jan 12th. Everyone is welcome to join!

There are no set chapters per day, we just read at our own paces and start each post with how far along you are, i.e., Chapter #, %, using spoilers where needed. Have fun!

I started reading just a bit last night before I fell asleep, I'm in about 10%. So far, I'm intrigued. The bugs and whispering are super creepy, trying to figure out what is up with Jeb, and so far I love Alyssa!

I'm now up to 44% and I am really starting to love this! They are now in Wonderland, and it has gotten really interesting! (view spoiler)[ although I am annoyed with Jeb, talk about mixed singles! The part where she dried up the ocean was especially cool! (hide spoiler)]

I didn't start until tonight and read the first 5 chapters. I find it really odd that all the women in her family have "A" names.
I'm also wondering how far the burger place is from her house (view spoiler)[ she's had time to destroy a recliner, fight with Jeb and make up then fight again but her dad still hasn't come back. (hide spoiler)]

Finished chapter 10
I love how everything is slightly twisted from the original story. Although I've never read it and only saw the movie once when I was smaller I wasn't a fan but I'm really enjoying this. (view spoiler)[Jeb really needs to figure out what he wants though. He's sending an awful lot of mixed signals her way.
I like Morpheus too. He's seems a little crazy but that deep down he's a decent guy. I wonder how Alyssa's mom was able to erase her memories? (hide spoiler)]

I agree completely on Jeb, Joycedale! Unfortunately, I didn't really like Morpheus all that much.

I finished this already, but I'll chat more as you read more!

Finished chapter 15
I figured there had to be more than breaking the curse to this story, how else would it have 3 books?

I really liked at the twists in the last few chapters. (view spoiler)[Her being Red's descendant instead of Alice was something I did not expect (hide spoiler)]
My feelings of Morpheus changed constantly throughout the story so that now I'm not sure how to feel about him. I really liked Alyssa and Jeb.
I already went and downloaded the novella and next 2 books so I can see what happens.

And I agree with your spoilers, I also did not see that twist! Still on the fence about Morpheus especially, like Jeb a bit more, just hate his mixed signals. Hopefully that's over now!
