Hi all, new member here. I've totally fallen in love with this book! And the film is wonderful too. Anyone else a fan of them?

Hi guys, thanks for your responses! Hunter, I saw the film before the book and I think the acting and the scenery was incredible, and the casting perfect. The final scene of Elio staring into the fire was heartbreakingly beautiful. I haven’t read ‘Find Me’ - some of the reviews put me off, and I don’t want to spoil my memories of CMBYN!If either of you would be interested in reading a novella I wrote inspired by CMBYN I’d love to have your feedback. I’m going to be making it free to download
I read this book at least 3 times before I heard they were making the movie. Had I not read the book, I think I might have enjoyed the film more. Unfortunately, to me, the casting of Elio was a major letdown. I know many of you will disagree. Having lived in Italy, in the same part of the country in which the story is set, I expected less Hollywood and more Italy. It's my opinion only and I'm very happy for anyone else to really enjoy the film, but the book is amazing, (And if you haven't already done so, read Annie Proulx's short story of Brokeback Mountain--how I wish they'd filmed her characters)
