This is a romance novel. The guy sees the heroine for the first time when they both were kids and falls in love after their first encounter. During this meeting, the boy is begging and the girl takes pity on him and forces her father to give her an orange so that she could give it to the boy. At that moment the hero decides that "she is mine". Fast forward to several years later, it's the heroine's eighteenth birthday and while cutting her cake, shooting starts and the hero comes to rescue and then abduct her - which the heroine seems pretty okay with. We get to know that the heroine is the district attorney's only daughter and that she has had several assassination attempts before as well, but each time the hero would swoop in and rescue her.
