We would really like to see more genre stories: mystery, historic (Aztecs or 15th-16th Europeans or both, please!!), fantasy, science fiction.

Don't be afraid to be a little quirky and funny... just keep in mind you have two female editors, so tomatoes as body part metaphors probably won't help you.

We would really love more recipes and art work!

We already have a glut of poetry...so keep sending it, but don't think you can dash off something lazy or crude and get in. Think Frost, Poe, Shakespeare, Suess...for pity's sake put some thought, structure, meaning, and wordplay into it.

The tomato should feature significantly into the work, but it doesn't need to be an ode to the tomato by any means.

Would like to see some more non-Italians ethnicities featured. We're going for a fun variety of tales around a tomato theme.
