ABANDONED. Fiction set in Future No books allowed phones wore around neck

I read this about six years ago. The cover was white, the title long and the words were in different colors. The main character was male and a lover of books. He had a collection of books that he kept hidden because books were not allowed. Everyone had to wear their phones around their necks and when they passed someone their phone would tell them all about that person. He visits his parents who I think are immigrants and their is a love story involving him. I think it took place in NYC. Thank you!
