This is our planned reading and discussion schedule for Laurence Sterne’s novel, Tristram Shandy. Page numbers are from the Norton Critical Edition, 1980.

Tristram Shandy is in the public domain. Free electronic versions can be found on Project Gutenberg and similar sites. For those who are interested, the Norton Critical Edition contains Sterne’s comments on the work, as well as from his contemporaries, and also includes 19th and 20th century criticism. A great resource if you’d like to get a feel for this unusual, proto-pomo novel.
