I am trying to locate a book I read back in 2010. I do not believe it was a new book as it was left behind for my unit on deployment.

I am going to seperate the first detail as I read a lot that year and could have the intro confused with another book but I believe it started as such:

A male and female scientist are called when a piece of modern equipment is found in an archeological dig dating back hundreds of years. In route there plane crashes and...

Now the part I am sure of:

The man and woman come to in the middle ages. They witness two knights fighting and realizing what is going on the woman chops off her hair and bandages her breast. When approached the man claims to be a knight and the womab takes on the role as a boy, the mans squire. She decided to do that due to the way women are treated in this era. They continue on with this charade for many years, the man becomes a very important part of an army at this time and the man and woman fall in love. When the man is promised an area to govern or rule over he devises a plan to hide his squire, the woman, untill the time is right for him to reintroduce her as his bride meanwhile fooling the people of his town.

I cannot recall any of the names in the story but would really like to finish this book and find out if it was part of a series that continued on.

If anyone could help me figure out the title I would greatly appreciate it.

After many hours not sleeping I managed to find a tremendous list of time travel books and after reading the 289th one I find the book I was looking for.
