No. Selina Suckling is sister to Mrs. Elton. She lives at Maple Grove in Bristol, obviously new money. Mrs. Elton is a snobby, pretentious wannabe. She's trying to use her sister's supposed influence to get Jane Fairfax a job as a governess. Mrs. E is hoping her sister will come to visit so she can show off her grand relatives and probably show up Emma. Emma rejected Mr. Elton and Augusta is second choice and she's not from a wealthy family like Emma. If she weren't so insufferable, I'd almost feel sorry for her. I think she's jealous of Emma.

It maybe become a little like Mr Wodehouse and Mrs Bates /Miss Bates. Full of mutual respect & appreciation, but not financially burdening the poorer with the lifestyle sharing of the richer ....
Mr Wodehouse warmly calls the Bates his oldest friends. They would have been youthful couples once - Mr/s Wodehouse, Mr/s Bates.
