Code-Switching

Thomas talks about “code-switching between identities as a means of hiding in plain sight." Living with the fear that he was somehow “wrong” or inadequate, Thomas learned to hide certain parts of his identity in order to be accepted, to speak and behave differently depending on the social context or situation.
