Jodez (jodez4) | 66 comments Obernewtyn by Isobelle Carmody. Mum bought me the series a few years for Christmas, they're still sitting unread in my bookcase...

Christa (lessthn3) | 90 comments For this one, I read Words for Pictures: The Art and Business of Writing Comics and Graphic Novels. It was really interesting & I'll definitely pass it on to friends of mine with interest in creating comics.

Samantha (samanyaaron) | 146 comments I chose The Lovers by John Connolly for this category as I've had a copy of the book for 2 years since I had it signed by him and had never read it. I really loved it and I'm definitely going to re read the earlier ones again and finish the series

message 6: by Fay (new)

Fay Roberts I did Code Name Verity - two birds one stone......

message 7: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer I've just finished 'Fangirl' by Rainbow Rowell for this, seeing as I have two copies of it. I completely forgot I had it on my Kindle and bought a paper copy.

It was pretty good. I really enjoy following the relationships between the characters, seeing them succeed and fail.

The 'fangirl' bit was a tad disappointed, as it wasn't really fangirly.

And the Simon Snow parts were a bit rubbish.

message 8: by Amber (new)

Amber (amberinoface) I ended up readingThe Historian for this. I do not recommend it.

Elizabeth (persephone17) I read The Future of Us for this one....super disappointed. It was such a cool concept - two teens in 1996 are able to see their Facebook profiles from 15 years in the past - but the writing and characters fell flat. Don't really recommend this one...maybe someone else will take the concept and improve on it.
