Arabian Nights: Need a Super to delete duplicates

this one is odd, but I really think its a dupe. Its in Arabic, so I'm relying on the translator, and checking with Google.
Done

this one is also very odd - extensive notes in the librarian notes.
***I've done a lot more searching on this one, and made more notes that could clarify this to a super willing to do something with it. It's actually 3 different works with information from 3 of them in one record. Many more notes at the work.***

this one has a couple of thousand adds, but the other edition has all the correct publishing information
this one finally finished - whew!

duplicate
this one and the next group are all from the same translator, and the only things on his combine page, if that makes it easier.
done

If I duplicated any of the above, I apologize. The blue covers in an unfamiliar language kinda made me lose track.

thank you so much - I know #3 is very weird
the rest should be pretty straight forward.

Hi Suzi,
In Persian translations, there are numerous duplicates and I don't even know what to do with them, here's one:
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/4...
And these seven editions are under the translator's name (in place of author's name), I wanted to change them to anonymous but I didn't want to mess with the "testing testing testing" thing so here are these
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/4...
and this one is under "the first volume" but it's practically the same thing as others
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...
and this one's anonymous author needs to be joined with "testing testing testing" (I don't know how to do that"
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...
and this
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/4...
and finally, this
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...
the last two are not duplicates, I will add their publication details.
Also, if you see any duplicates with titles in the Arabic script, chances are they might be Persian editions, and I'd be happy to check any Arabic titles for you.
For example, this one from your earlier comments:
Suzi wrote: "https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...-----

This wasn't a duplicate, it's in Persian and it's just "the third volume" of one of the editions (the most famous Persian translation of Arabian Nights is published in six volumes, though I can't find all of them on Goodreads and I think it's a better idea to combine all of them with the main book)
Sorry for the intrusion, please let me know if there's something I can do to help.

These don't need to be ..."
this is awesome, because I had been leaving those till I finished the others.
I used "testing testing testing" instead of anonymous for the translations of Richard Francis Burton, because the volume of work there made it impossible to handle so I separated them.
All other translations besides Burton, I have changed anonymous to testing testing one at a time as I research each title.
The first one that you mentioned was a duplicate and another super already deleted it.
I had been using Google translate, but it has been slow going.
If you can add any publication information, and volume information that would be awesome. I used testing testing because getting in and out of the anonymous author was so incredibly painful.
If you feel like changing anonymous to testing testing as you review them, it will identify that they have been reviewed. You may have noticed that I have made extensive notes in the librarian notes. If you know the number of volumes, it's helpful to say "1 of 4" or "3 of 10" or whatever. although that information isn't always on the cover, it is almost always on the title page, so I felt justified in using it. It prevents volume 1 of 4 from being combined with volume 1 of 16.
I hope that makes sense to you. You are not intruding, you are being incredibly helpful.
I'm calling it a day.

Thanks for the explanations, they make perfect sense.
I reviewed most of the ones I'd linked again, added original title and publication information (I can't seem to find ISBN numbers on the internet. Will have to contact a bookshop or the publisher to check it on the book itself.)
One of them, published in 1936 is out of print so there isn't much information available on it on the web, I added as much as I could find.
Also, I renamed this 6 volume series in a way that'd make sense to Persian readers but also the numbers are legible for others:
https://www.goodreads.com/series/1812...
I will change the author to testing testing on each edition that I review.
As you mentioned, it's more productive to discuss this over private messages so feel free to message me at your convenience. (My timezone is GMT +4:30 but I'll answer as soon as I can.)

These are not series by Goodreads standards. There are several stray series created with various Arabian Nights formats, and my plan is to create links in the description part of these to each other volumes in each set. I've been deleting the series as I review each title.
Your help here is greatly appreciated.

You're right. To not mess with the project, I won't make any combination/deletion changes on my own, I'll do what I can in reviewing Persian and Arabic editions to provide accurate information on each one. Again, if there's anything specific I can help with, please don't hesitate to ask.
I can also provide a librarian note in Persian on each volume of the stray series so that librarians in Iran would know to not compile them back into "series"; if that helps? (They might not pay attention to English notes.)

perfect

Thank you so much. I will correct the titles and put them where they belong.
These don't need to be combined back into anything. I'll do that.
If I list any that don't merit merging, just let me know. [a couple of them are odd]
I'm still working on the different translators, but I've got an end in sight, so there is not a hurry.
I'll make one post for each, as in the regular delete thread.
