Prudence (Pru) overhears her sister and best friend talk about her fiancé’s infidelity. Should they have told her since everyone else seemed to know?

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments I think they should have told her. I know they said it would be nice to keep her happy now because she won't be happy after she was married, so they knew she would continue to go through with the wedding. I just don't think it was fair to keep her in the dark.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2973 comments Pru should have confronted them there and then in the park. The whole matter should have been discussed and Pru had a right to know.

Laura Yes they definitely should have told her, as her friend and sister.

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1203 comments Yes, this was a shocking part of the story -- that her sister and friend felt it was their lot in life to be disappointed in marriage without any concern that Pru's could or should be different.

When everyone else in town knows it? And one of his lovers interacts with her in public, making her look foolish? Of course they should have told her, especially her sister. It was cruel not to do so.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2973 comments Agree.

Karen ♐ (kmk1214) | 909 comments They definitely should have told her. Why would you want your friend and sister to go through with a wedding where her fiance was already cheating on her. She could have called off the wedding. I would have confronted them then and there.
