Chapter 1:

Chapters 2-3
(view spoiler)[ I'm finding this weird :P Alice is in the hole and she starts growing taller and she is worried about is she can put on shoes?!? I don't think that is what I would be worrying about...then she is worrying if she has changed persons and starts saying poems and school lessons. Again thats not what I would be doing if I was stuck in a hole growing really tall. (hide spoiler)]

Chapters 4-5
(view spoiler)[ all I can think about is the caterpillar :P I really like the him. He is an interesting character and the illustration that the book has is exactly how I imagine him as! (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 6:
(view spoiler)[ I really enjoyed this chapter! I don't think it was in the movie except when the cat was in the tree telling her which way to go. I'm sorry that I keep comparing it to the disney version of the movie but I can't help it :P anyways I really liked this chapter. I was kinda confused about how the baby turned into a pig though... I'm currently at chapter 9 and my overall experience with the book is that it is a really curious story and not really a children story like everyone keeps telling me. Some scenes are quite disturbing like the one you mentioned with the pig turning into a baby.
To me she sounds a bit like a mental patient on some serious drugs trying to figure out where she is and what she's doing. To me it feels like more than just a fantasy story! What do you think?

Well I've finished Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.

(view spoiler)[ In chapter 9 I found it very annoying that the Duchess kept telling about the moral of everying. And I found it odd that the Queen keeps telling to behead someone but never actually does it.

In chapter 10 the mock turtle was telling about his education and I absolutely loved the phrase "We called him tortoise because he taught us" that is soo clever :O

And in chapter 11 I loved the Beau-ootiful Soo-oop song XD

I loved the ending because I didn't really knew how the story went, and I've never seen the movie so I don't know if it is the same.

Overall I think it's a lovely story, just a bit odd but then again it reminds me of my own dreams (hide spoiler)]

Just when you think you can't read anything more disturbing than Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, you start reading Through a Looking Glass XD

Hmm...that's a very interesting point about it being more than just a fantasy story. I don't know what I think of it yet. I'm only in chapter 7. I do agree that she is acting like se is on drugs though :P

His head is about the same size as his body. It's kinda scary :P

I feel you on this one! I have this edition and the illustrations are absolutely crazy! The Duchess look terrible XD and the scene with hear neck being long is really weird :O

Also the duchess's morals are really stupid and she has a moral for EVERYTHING.

Chapter 1 of through the looking glass
(view spoiler)[ I'm very confused. She goes into this room and she finds some chess pieces and picks them up and they get scared because they are randomly flying and she is like dont be surprised. I'm would be terrified if that happened. And then they randomly start saying a poem?!?!? (It's one of my favorite poems but that's beside the point :P) I know it's just the first chapter but I'm quite confused (hide spoiler)]

My thoughts on chapter 1-5 are that its a lot of hocus pocus haha!

I don't even know what to tell about it haha! I'm also not really sure if I'm liking this one!

I did find out while reading that the Tim burton movie of Alice in wonderland is like combination of both books.

I'm really sorry but I find it really hard to do a chapter by chapter review about Through the Looking-Glass! I still don't know what to think of it! I mean my dreams are weird but they don't even come close to this!
Seems to me like Lewis Carroll was a bit high or something while writing this XD

It makes no sense at all to me and it kind of annoyed me a bit to be honest! Although I really loved Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, that was just a lovely story! This one not so much :( And definitely not when your stressed for your end of semester exams and think about reading something to relax :(
