What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

Now we'll never know > Picture-book: On every page was a huge photo showing a hidden picture puzzle assembled out of different smaller things (usually with a theme) On the side were questions asking e.g. how many spoons are in the picture, or where is the beer bottle cap

Read in: 2012-13
Cover: Colourful picture with lots of little knick-knack
Age: All ages, for kids and adults
Language: I read it in German, pretty sure it was a translation though
Size: Quite big. Atlas-sized

The book contained a photography on every page. Out of little things the photographer arranged a bigger picture like a store front, a road system or a playground. Sometimes it was also just knick-knack arranged to form a pattern, an aestatic picture or maybe it was things photoshopped into in an actual photo (I am not entirely sure what the bigger picture showed but it was definitely assembled out of smaller things).

There was not a lot of text on each page, just questions to get the reader to look at all the details.
(Questions like "How many yellow pencil were used in the rainbow?", "How many peanuts are in the whole picture?" or "Where is the only blue paper clip?")

I used to look at these books in school (It was a collection) with friends, the teacher used them to teach us looking at things in detail (maybe I was not the only one?)

The books seemed to be pretty new when I read them, they were high quality with thick pages of good quality paper and shiny photos.

That's basically what I am looking for. The books I remember were a bit different (maybe it is actually a german series, I am not so sure anymore), but I'll check out these until I find the ones I read as a kid.
And your idea is a new possibility for me to find them, considering the Look-Alikes never came up in my search as well.

Thank you so much for giving me this recommendation. They look like they are worth a look into.

Gab (gabrootzi) | 8 comments Hi,
Was it something like the I Spy With My Little Eye series? From what I remember the books were themed (e.g. sports, Christmas etc). https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...

Unfortuanly these are not the ones I was looking for either.
