Which copy do you have? The info is misleading because it says this is 86 pages in ebook, but on Amazon it says it's something like 360 pages. LOL

I read this book on Wattpad and found it mildly disturbing, but I guess it's pretty okay...

I find it SO interesting that one person rates it a 5 (Chris) and one person gives it a 1 (Shakthi). That happens a lot. I hope I like it better than a 1 star. That's happened with me on some buddy reads where one of us loves it and one hates it or at least didn't care for it. I've also had that with my students. In one class a student will say that a book is his/her favorite ever and another will say he/she hates it. Weird! LOL

I just got my book Saturday from the library, so I'll be good to go!

Finished Ch. 5

Summer is certainly (view spoiler)[in a horrific situation. The "Flowers" are understandably only doing what they have to in order to stay alive. I'm glad that creeper hasn't kissed or or tried anything sexually and I really pray he doesn't rape her! Ugh!! (hide spoiler)]

Chapters 1-5:

Clover (view spoiler)[it's pretty sick how he acts and does things like nothing is wrong with what he is doing to those girls. (hide spoiler)]

Finished Ch. 10

Clover is (view spoiler)[a real sicko! I can't believe that he flipped out over the dead flowers the way he did! It is ironic and "funny" that he can murder girls but flip out over flowers dying. I think his mother is the one that ruined his life. (hide spoiler)]

Violet (view spoiler)[had to take that chance to escape or she'd have not been able to handle it anyway. I knew it was going to go south. :o( She didn't deserve that. (hide spoiler)]

Rose and Poppy (view spoiler)[remind me of the Stepford wives. I think I do understand how they can be so "calm" and act as though it's all no big deal. They have been held for years and Clover has put the fear of God in them. They want to live...simple as that. But what a sad existence. (hide spoiler)]

Summer has really (view spoiler)[held up pretty well, but I think Clover is ready to start having his way with her. He is "grooming" her by stroking her hair and for the first time NOT kissing the other women. God I hope he doesn't rape Summer! (hide spoiler)]

Lewis (view spoiler)[is Ch. 11 but I'm too tired to keep reading. I can't wait to see what he's up to now! I hope he's scouring the town for Summer. (hide spoiler)]

I can't imagine how difficult it would be to (view spoiler)[see a newspaper heading about you with your picture plastered all over it. I wonder what Clover's motive was for taking the paper for them to have. He's pure evil. (hide spoiler)]

Finished Ch. 15 and OMG

Lewis (view spoiler)[is searching high and low just like we thought. But it's been months now. I wonder how long he'll continue to search or if he'll give up. (hide spoiler)]

Seeing the progression of (view spoiler)[how he got the girls and his thinking is awful. He can murder and RAPE, but prostitutes and whores need to be killed to "save the world." What's really sick is that he believes his ways and that he's protecting his "Flowers" and what's even SICKER is there are people in this real world who are just as sicker or even sicker!!! ugh... Understandably Summer is (view spoiler)[mimicking Rose and Poppy in some ways and realizing that it IS about survival. God I hope Clover doesn't rape her. She is already SO disgusted by just his presence. So awful!! (hide spoiler)]

I'm mid Ch. 19 but leaving for a trip so wanted to post something just in case I can't later.

I was (view spoiler)[SO SAD and SO HOPING that Summer wouldn't be raped. Such an awful thing to do to a woman of any age, let alone a young teenager. :o( (hide spoiler)]

It is to be expected but still a bummer to see (view spoiler)[Summer start sounding like the other women, telling the "new Lily" it'll be okay and other such things. I hate to see her feel hopeless at times. I hope that Lily and Summer can escape the creep somehow. (hide spoiler)]

Summer must have felt (view spoiler)[like she were experiencing her own beginnings in the cellar when the new Lily was brought down and fighting like Summer did. Ugh...this happens in real life which makes reading about it so much more difficult. (hide spoiler)]

Finished Ch. 25

Clover is one (view spoiler)[bastard! I can't believe he is such a sick bastard! Either he's getting worse or there were murders we weren't told about!

He gets a new Violet and beats her to a pulp for what! And then he kills the office girl Christy and tries throwing Greg under the bus and THEN he joins the search team. Ugh...CREEPY!! I think he's gonna make a mistake. In fact, Lewis had a strong reaction when Colin asked if he knew or thought he knew where Summer was. I think Lewis realized something was off!! I'm scared for any of the girls to try to kill him or escape.

His mom and dad both contributed to his mental state. No wonder he goes after prostitutes! (hide spoiler)]

Sorry I haven't been on here. I'm going to read more tonight. I've read up to chapter 8 so far. Really want and need to catch up with you. I'm really enjoying it so far though.

Oh well then I hope you enjoy it. I will try to read as much as possible tonight. This book makes you not want to put it down but I have to. If I could I would read it in one sitting.

It really does draw you in and never want to put it down. I'm excited to finish this book though. How did you enjoy it?

I hate to say that I liked it a lot because of its subject matter, but I loved it. I was so busy this last week and drove Friday after work to southern CA for my granddaughter's wedding and we didn't get in our hotel until 1:30 AM and I still had to stay up to read some. LOL

I'm really glad to hear that, I feel the same way and I'm not super far into the book. I'm just glad you enjoyed it.

Chapters 6-11

Clover (view spoiler)[is so weird and seriously I can't believe he gets mad over dead flowers, but it does make sense since he thinks they are pure and once you kill something pure it's bad in his world. (hide spoiler)]

Violet (view spoiler)[ I knew he was going to kill her just because of who he is, but it's sad that she got killed. I wish there plan worked and they got out. (hide spoiler)]

Ugh I can't believe Poppy and Rose (view spoiler)[ act they way they do, but it also makes sense since they want to live and they have been there a long time. I just don't understand how calm they are about everything and the way they act. (hide spoiler)]

It just keeps getting good, but clover keeps getting worse. Ugh I hate him.

Okay just finished this book, it was so good.
(view spoiler)[I'm so glad they all got out, but sad to hear that Violet had passed away and same with Rose. I'm glad that Poppy aka Becca and Summer are so close after all of this. I'm thankful that they are out, I just hope that Clover stays locked up where he belongs. (hide spoiler)]

I'm not really familiar with wattpad, so how does that work? As long as I don't have to read it from my computer because I can't sit long at my desk.

We can read it whenever. In fact, if I can get the wattpad we can read it this week.

Wattpad is a free reading site or app that you can read storys/books from anyone who would like to put one up there that aren't published. It's an app because I have it on my tablet so you can find it so you don't use your computer. I'm willing to read it whenever you are.
