An enjoyable story for Intermediate age students about a 12 year old boy with eye cancer dealing with treatment, the effects of the cancer and friendship. Ross the main character also learns guitar and forms a band that enters a talent quest. Based on the author's own experience with cancer. Illustrated with cartoons.

I just catalogued this today Jayne! I've brought it home to cover this weekend. It may not make it onto the New Book display table on Monday though, it might be on my bedside table instead. ;-)

I've just read "Wink" now. A photocopy of the cover will go on my office door as part my "Mrs Boniface's top reads of 2020" display.
I thought it was great and it would be perfect for fans of Wonder. It would also make a good read aloud, especially for teachers looking for something with themes of empathy, resilience, friendship and bullying (using memes!).
