Everyone reads at their own pace during a Buddy Read. Because participants can be at different parts of the book at different times, it is extremely important to mark spoilers so that the book is not ruined for someone who is not as far along as others!!!

Mark spoilers by placing {spoiler} before the text and {/spoiler} after the text but use the < and > instead of the { and }.

Happy Buddy Reading!

Nancy-Ann | 39 comments I finished this book. Characters and scene setting are strong. I was much less interested in the crime and criminal than the people and situations surrounding them. In fact, I think Red Dragon was better with the crime/criminal than this one. Still, this was engaging.

Has anyone else been drawn out of a story by technology though? I usually read fantasy/scifi, historical, or books set post-2000. So, it's either in its own world or in the one I'm familiar with. I kept pausing whenever a section reminded me this book was set in the 80's. I don't mean that as a criticism. It's just something I don't normally experience.
