It's amazing so far. It's been awhile since I've read a fantasy and I'm glad I jumped right back into this genre with Mistborn. The world is great and the characters are just amazing. Comes is definitely my new favorite heroine.
I may or may not be slightly in love with Elend...
Also, BOOYAH I was right about the random diary entries at the beginning of every chapter!
Omg okay so I know I'm going overboard with the posts, but I just reread the the blurb, and it says "WHAT IF THE PROPHESIED HERO DIDNT DEFEAT THE DARKLORD".
Pressed send accidentally with that one :/Anyway. SO with these random diary entries, the narrator talks about being the 'prophesied hero'. And the Lord Ruler had displayed that book as being his. BUT WHAT IF IT ISNT???? What if the person narrating that book was actually killed by the dark lord and he took his place. Or the dark lord like possessed his body??? And the real prophesied hero/his soul or something is being kept inside that secret room in the palace??!!!?!
Soz for geeking out guys. I have theories coming out of my ears right now D:

Omg, maybe The Lord Ruler was taken over by a mistwraith!! Isn't that what's impersonating Lord Renoux?? All the possibilities!
Also, Elden is amazing, Yeden is an idiot (as is Kelsier a little), and I am SO ENJOYING THIS READ!!!!

I like Elend too, but I can't help suspecting that he will betray Vin. I hope my suspicions are wrong, thoguh. Also, I was so angry at both Yeden and Kelsier when the army got slaughtered! Still, I'm loving this book more and more - the further I get into the story, it just keeps getting better.
What I love about the book so much at this point is how in depth each of the allomantic can metals can get. Breeze with soothing, Ham with pewter, even Marsh with seeking. The more fine tuned you get with each of the metals and the more you practice the more powerful you can be, and Vin seems like just the person to become the most powerful Mistborn ever known.
Elend please be good, pretty please! I just love the parts with him and Vin. I'm also angry with Yeden. Seriously what was he thinking? But plans in books never go as they should (because that would be boring) :) so I was expecting something to happen soon. Though I'm interested in where it will go next. With only an army of 2,000 mostly older skaa left the plan is in tatters. I wonder what Kelsier has in mind.I also have loved the change in Vin we got to witness in this part. I love the part where she's reflecting on herself and realizes how she still has a ways to go but how she is now part of the crew and does trust them to a degree. She has become comfortable enough with the nobility that the street urchin part of her no longer feels like her true self. I like how she's discovering who she is and it's someone very special. I wasn't sure how I felt about her at the beginning, but I really like her now.
Well on to Part 4. I have a feeling this next section will be very good!!
I must say that at this point in the book, I definitely like the chapters where Vin is at the balls as Valette more than some of the other parts of the book. The action bits, however, do come in a very close second. Either way, I'm really excited to see how this books is going to end.
