Trisha (trishabisen) | 2389 comments This thread is to discuss Just Mercy: A Story of Justice and Redemption by Bryan Stevenson.

Pages: 336 pages

Length: 1 Month (July)

Participants: Yasmeen, Squidget.

Everyone reads at their own pace during a Buddy Read. Because participants can be at different parts of the book at different times, it is extremely important to mark spoilers so that the book is not ruined for someone who is not as far along as others!!!

Mark spoilers by placing {spoiler} before the text and {/spoiler} after the text but use the < and > instead of the { and }.

Happy Buddy Reading!

Cassie | 370 comments I've got a hold on this one and am HOPING it comes in sooner than predicted on my library app. I can't wait to read this one!

L Y N N (book_music_lvr) I do not have time to reread this right now, but hope to do so at some point in time. Stevenson is a true hero, IMHO! I would appreciate the opportunity to work for EJI.

Juliet Wilson (captaincold) | 3 comments I finished this a couple of months ago. I have been recommending it to everyone. I feel like it is a must read especially with everything going on right now.

DieAReader Wow! I loved this book so much. So many emotions ran through me while reading this. Definitely something I think everyone should read, regardless of what country you live in (I’m Canadian), this is so relevant to the world we live in.

I agree with you! This and Alexander's The New Jim Crow: Mass Incarceration in the Age of Colorblindness are must-reads, IMO.
