ABANDONED. Book from Wattpad that I read about 5-6 years ago. Sci-fi, dystopian type. Future country split in half. Females on one side, Males on the other.

In the future a country is split in half by a river I think. Females on one side and males on the other but the females have a better life than males and the females are the superior gender, they also look down on males.

One scene I remember maybe towards the beginning if the book is where a boy watches (I think) a group of girls who are either friends or sisters all playing on the side of a river and the main girl that the story focuses on gets into the river to play or bathe. Another scene I remember is the boy and the main girl meet (I think the girl catches him) and she keeps him by her side and he has to travel with her and she helps him with his journey. I think he was looking for his sister, mother, or male family member who was either taken by the females or disappeared and that's the only place for him to look.

Females may also kill any male they see or turn them in to the authorities.

When the girl catches the boy she threatens to kill him but he convinces her to help him.
