Krista (k_lou) | 48 comments This is my selection for week 2, I don't know how romantic it is but it has been on my shelf for a long time and I have read some great reviews so I'm looking forward to it.

Krista (k_lou) | 48 comments I am enjoying this book, the author writes in a nice easy style, it's not action packed but steady and rhythmic which I am appreciating. I am still trying to get into the mode of reading more as I am now noticing how much time gets frittered away on iPad, computer, phone and tv, I have always loved reading but a little structure is making it more worthwhile now.

Krista (k_lou) | 48 comments As you get further into this book you get to know a few more characters and they become more and more important as it goes along, music it should be noted is the biggest character of all, I am not a huge fan of opera but this book is making me want to check out some of the music that is mentioned in the book, maybe I'll listen to some Maria Callas etc.

Krista (k_lou) | 48 comments Beautiful! I am going to have to read some more from Ann Patchett at some stage, I like her style. The build up towards the end wondering how on earth the hostage situation would end was great, I would have liked to know more about the immediate aftereffects but I was still happy with the epilogue it made it more simple, gentle. The author did really well bringing all the characters into the story so that they really mattered to you, she created an entire world out of a confined space, I thoroughly enjoyed this book.
