Elhassan As I finally got my book 10 day ago, I began with a daily schedule of 2 hours of reading per day. Me being me, I forgot to click post on Saturday so here I am, having to redo it all with new updates. As of five minutes ago, I finished Dan Brown's Da Vinci Code, and what a book it was. Dan Brown truly gives a new and different dimensions to novels with the intricate symbology that Robert Langdon solves. The story is fast-paced and the plot is excellent, making for a great page turner. I really enjoyed the book and I am looking forward to my next book, also a Dan Brown classic, Angels and Demons

Alexa Louise It's not for me or anyone else to comment on what is your choice of book, but I have read and enjoyed both the Da Vinci Code and Angels & Demons. However, I subsequently went on to read Deception Point and Digital Fortress and neither were good. To be honest, I don't think Dan Brown is a particularly good writer but in the Da Vinci Code he hit upon a very good premise for a story. Similarly with Angles & Demons - although I thought the ending was a bit weak. But each to their own.

You're right, I went on to reading the rest of his books and they are not as "great" as Dan Brown has been hailed to be, especially compared to other literary greats of the same genre. I was basically forced to "love" these two because my father has been putting pressure on me for the last 6 months to read them... Hurray for freedom of speech... I agree with your point about the endings of both novels which were quite disappointing to be honest.
