I’m possessed. Deadly.

Raised as a vampire, I’m no stranger to blood. But when power-hungry supes force a ritual on me, I become something else entirely:

The Black Widow.

At first, my only companion is the spider that lives within me. She makes me strong, and I revel in that power, but it’s fueled with the need to feed.

Unfortunately, carnal cannibalism isn’t exactly trending. But in order to survive, I have to feed off the essence of my victims. By the time they see the hourglass on my throat, I’m draining them dry.

But there are more supes like me. Abducted victims forced into possessions that change their lives forever. I’m determined to save them all.

With the help of a hybrid and his crow army, a risk demon, and a rare gargoyle, I put a plan into motion that will end Spector Inc.’s plan to make an army of stronger, deadlier supes.

I just hope I can handle this wicked web of lies and make it out alive.

30% (view spoiler)[OK wow so I didn't re-read the blurb before diving in so I did not expect this. I'm kind of loving this and especially the complete opposite type of style from this author than I expected. Everything I've read from her so far is usually so funny and outlandish but this definitely is not.
The heroine is now spliced with a black widow spider and can shoot spiderwebs out of her fingertips like Spiderman lol, so cool. I mean aside from the whole feeding and killing - semantics 😂😂. I was literally so sad when I thought Tomb died even though we barely knew him for long. So glad that worked out! Really enjoying this so far-can't wait to see where it goes. (hide spoiler)]

But O M G, her killing Oz was like therapeutic. What a piece of garbage. I'm getting bloodthirsty now and I hope she burns that building to the ground along with all the guards and especially the president. I CANNOT believe how they were torturing Crow and Tomb. 🕸Finished (view spoiler)[I really loved this book and regret that I read avoid before this. I was so scared when they stole her spider from her but I’m glad she got her back. But damn if these guys didn’t just keep taking hits. It’s the one thing I don’t get really, they are insanely powerful almost unstoppable together and yet for like twenty years (after already suffering so much) they have to hide away in the beyond. Kind of a buzzkill and I mean poor Motley couldn’t even meet Risks daughter or help raise her and they were all ready too 😢 Definitely a lil more dark and depressing than I expected but the story blew me away I loved it.
