Is there something similar for Paris, Barcelona or Rome

Shawn Callahan When I went to Florence a few years ago I happened to find Brunelleschi Dome by Ross King and thoroughly enjoyed reading the book and then exploring the Duomo with King's stories in mind.

I'm off to Paris, Barcelona and Rome this year and was wondering if there is something in a similar genre for those cities?

I've been told Street fight in Naples is good, but obviously about Naples.

Robert Hughes' Rome was also recommended. More of a history but a cracking read.

Any other suggestions?

Matt Michelangelo & the Pope's Ceiling by Ross King is just as good and deals with the painting of the Sistine Chapel.
Matt

Shawn Callahan Thanks Matt. As it happens that was the book I have decided to read.
